I knew from the past that it is vast, filling 4 halls with over 2000 cars on stands from many of the UK’s Car Clubs – often more than one which encompasses individual makes and models – dealers, other traders and with a significant corner of one hall given over to an auction which takes place during the event. But in 2017, the LA Show was pushed out to after the US’ Thanksgiving Holiday, meaning that my diary was unconflicted and so it was an easy decision to go to the NEC event. This timing has been a challenge for me for the past few years, as it has also been close enough to that of the Los Angeles Show, that I have been out of the country in quest of Californian sunshine and to go to that event, so I have missed the NEC Classic since 2012. None are bigger than this one, though, held at the NEC over three days in November, with the last of these generally being Remembrance Sunday. As is well evidenced by reports of events I have attended in the UK, there are an awful of Shows for the Classic Car enthusiast that take place in the UK throughout the course of a year.
